A Comedy Movie a Day, Keeps the Doctor Away

They say that laughter is the best medicine. Well, I personally believe that this is true. Movies have a lot of genres and one of them is comedy. Comedy movies have been a big part of the movie industry that are produced today. I will personally say that past comedy movies were funnier compared to the present films of the same genre. Past comedy films were wittier because they were more focused on the communication aspect which I believe nowadays have been decreasing. On the other hand, today's comedy films have been more visual in terms of making it funny. Still, comedy is still comedy, and their main purpose is to make us laugh!

Hence, comedy movies over time have covered wide ranges and sometimes merge with other genres of movies. Films like 500 Days of Summer and Everybody's Fine are some that consists of two different genres. There are also parody kinds of comedy movies wherein certain scenes from famous events of movies are being imitated and reinacted with humor. Some examples are Not Another Teen Movie and the Scary Movie series but I believe that they are the corny ones. Last is the pure comedy. Films like Hot Chick, White Chicks and The Hangover are a few and for me, Hangover is my personal favorite. The movie is so hilarious that it literally made me cry and the plot was also relevant to real life happenings.

Comedy movies are produced because its purpose is mainly to make us laugh our hearts out. Some call it a medicine as they use it to lessen their stress and some just laugh through their problems. I believe that comedy movies are made for leisure and entertainment and simply just make us laugh and have a wonderful time with our family and friends.
